EARTH nft trading cards are a creative project showing how to use nft’s to reward investors and students with digital assets, along with teaching lessons on the value of compounding and trailing for Intellectual Property.
The project comprises of distinct individual sections that make one whole.
Firstly, it should be noted that the “card format” for this project, comes from The Journey of 1,000 Steps– where teachers are encouraged to create “anchors” with cards and steps with the goal of encouraging student learning and retention of information.
EARTH nft Trading Cards work on the identical principle- the only difference is we use more sophisticated graphic design and animation- then fuse them with crypto to make them rare and scarce and reward those who earn or collect them.
In addition to the card format, the EARTH nft Trading Card Project also is entwined with E VOL-V….. the 2021 portfolio showcasing how to make money online, where under the category of entertainment, students including myself were tasked with creating $1 million dollars in revenue through selling entertainment.
For my example of working in with the 1,000 true fan theory, I chose to create 10 x stories that could be licensed or syndicated– each with 12 chapters that would need be sold for approx $8,000 each for a total of $1 million dollars for all 120 pieces of the portfolio.
In addition to this, it comes under my Master submission of work for The Prosperity Project for creative marketing. This means the portfolio of work needs to teach a marketing lesson to students, so what better way than by creating a story that explores the time honoured discussion on whether or not a freelancer or “indy” creative contractor should work for someone else and take the cash, or hold onto their work as their own asset of intellectual property.
The end result is “The Story of Moonshot” also known as the EARTH nft trading card project, where 120 pieces of my creative work are sold as nft cards as I try and hit my million dollar budget.
The EARTH nft trading card project is super duper fun!
Although it’s not as “serious” as my other work, it brings an element of fun and play to education to capture the imagination of students and encourage an understanding of not only the value of intellectual property and the nature of transmedia storytelling, but also a thorough understanding of using visuals in their work, whilst inserting a gap to open up future discussions on cryptocurrency and the pro’s and con’s of decentralization.
I would love to partner together with someone who is a creative on this project- either an artist, a writer or even both.
If this a project that sounds like something you would be interested in, please reach out.
I would love to hear from you.
