Substack is a distribution platform for writers and podcasters to share their work by offering free or paid subscriptions to people who want to hear what you have to say.
Currently I run a free AND paid substack account..
The free version talks of my day to day life and is TRUE, but everything I know is not always revealed to readers
the paid version talks about my not-always-true creative world where I daydream and process things in a much different way.
If you are wondering which newsletter to subscribe to, here are the main points of difference:
Raising 2.2 Billion as the FREE publication is:
A pretty accurate representation of who I am in the real world and what is currently going on in my life–on a day-to-day basis.
The writing you get in this newsletter is very similar to sitting down and having a chat with me in real life as if we were business colleagues.
I don’t swear, use sexuality, or talk about difficult subjects that I don’t want my Granny or 8 year old daughter to read or which I think may offend….it’s the everyday self I show to the world at large.
Occasionally you will get flashes of my strategic work, but not unless its relevant to what I am sharing with the community at large.
Raising 2.2 Billion as the PAID publication is:
My alter ego-personality, who has a tendency to run off at the mouth whenever she feels like it.
Occasionally <but not often> I swear.
Occasionally <but not often>I use sexual provocation.
Mostly <but not often and yes I know how that reads> I talk about anything which takes my fancy without giving much regard for the way it is interpreted….
The work in the portfolio of Raising 2.2 billion is strategically designed as a looking glass and is very experimental…posts are short…somewhere between 100 to 1,000 words on average.
Sometimes my work is brilliant if I do say so myself, and other times it is self-indulgent and rambling.
This publication can be a bit of a “pot luck” and is not what most people may call “good writing” however it is my writing….my distinct style.
The paid newsletter of Raising 2.2 Billion is expensive.
It shows I practice what I preach by sticking to my guns about what I believe I am worth to be paid for, and it re-enforces my beliefs of having the smallest viable audience.
The monthly subscription for Raising 2.2 Billion PAID is $12,000 and the yearly subscription is $144,000.
For those following my story, you will know my goal is to have 11 true fans for my writing career which will bring my yearly salary as an independent writer to a little over $1.5 million dollars in addition to helping fund my work at The Prosperity Project.
If you have a lazy $144,000 and would like to sign up for the Raising 2.2 Billion Substack newsletter and Podcast and be one of my first 11 true fans, you can do so by clicking here:
